This Hydros Control4 0-10v Breakout Box connects to the Control4 0-10v port and enables you to access each of the four 0-10v inputs. You can use each input with simple switches (not included) such as a float switches, magnetic reed switches, buttons, toggles, etc. Those would go between the input channel and ground terminal below it, to supply 0v when closed. You can also use 0-10v based sensors on any channel such as for CO2, Humidity, Air temperature, etc.

The HarrysAquatics Hydros Switch Box (with 2 buttons and 2 toggles, coming soon) is designed to only require a single input channel of this breakout!

Features

  • High quality 2 meter (~6ft) insulated cable, with oversized 24awg conductors.

  • High quality aircraft-style connector to maintain Control4 water resistance.

  • Individual grounds for each input

  • Individually labeled inputs (#1-#4)

  • Included mounting hardware

There are two 5v terminals, but they can only be used with extremely LOW POWER sensors. The 5v supply has a maximum output of <150ma, so attempting to power an external 5v device that draws more power may damage the control. When in doubt, use an external power supply. The process itself of adding analog sensors is simple in Hydros, since the sensor’s datasheet will give you the appropriate scale and offset value to enter.

Here is an inexpensive sensor I am using for air temp and humidity, powered by the 5v port and providing signal via two channel inputs:

DFRobot Analog Humidity/Temperature Sensor

As an item intended for DIY use, I am not responsible for any misuse of this breakout box. Do not attempt to draw over 150ma from the 5v port. Never connect (short) the 5v and ground terminals together. When in doubt, please ask!

Custom colors and shorter wire length available upon request.

I can also supply a DIY kit if you have very advanced soldering skills, but please understand that there are no expressed guarantee or refunds on DIY kits. This breakout involves over a dozen very small wires, as well as the installation of a copper bus bar to chain the terminal grounds. The aircraft style GX-12 connectors make this MUCH harder and more time consuming to assemble compared to simple Apex breakout box.
