Machining

My first introduction of machining was in the context of woodworking, after I built a 3D printed CNC. I learned the basics of CAM there, using Autodesk Fusion 360’s integrated CAM program.

During my internship at Syntheon I focused on creating test fixtures under the direction of the resident journeyman machinist. This involved using upright mills, lathes, and CNC mills with materials such as steel, acrylic, delrin, and aluminum. During any free time I had during the day, I worked a few of my own personal projects to gain experience and skill in machining processes.

I later purchased a CNC Router that I use to make projects and products with a variety of materials.
