3D Printing
I was first introduced to 3D printing by my brother-in-law, a mechanical engineer. I was immediately captured by the possibility of rapidly producing prototypes and even final products with no significant upfront cost. While creating a prototype on a simple injection mold can take weeks and cost thousands of dollars, a 3D printed prototype can be made in just hours.
I developed a print farm with 90% uptime to increase my capacity to handle large orders. This involved optimizing the printing parameters and file organization structure, and can now fulfill commercial level orders within a few days.
